The Luxima Blond Tone Range

Puck Thomson mars 31, 2023

Choose a BLOND tone if you want muted, light tones, or if you want to deepen and even out the color of hair at depth levels 7-9 or 8-10.

All of the BLOND tones already contain substances to counteract yellow undertones, which means that recipes are easy to mix and the result is always guaranteed as long as you choose the right depth level for toning, whether you want a cool, neutral or warm blond. Remember that if the hair is already a depth level of 10, and contains no yellow, the tones will appear more strongly and intensely in the hair. Luxima’s tone mixes already contain plenty of cool and warm pigment mixes for a soft and muted end result. If you want to mix different tones together, it is best to combine warm and cool tones for an even result. This will beautifully even out a porous and uneven base in the desired tone.

While the color is processing and when you wash it out, remember that Luxima’s unique pigment structure means that the tones will appear very dark when processing and on damp hair. However, the color will appear true to tone when the hair is dry.

7-9.12 PEARLY PASTEL
8-10.12 PEARLY BLOND
.12 tones are ashy and pearlescent mixes for beautiful and cool results. Pairing pearl with ash allows for the tone to remain bright even though it is extremely cool. You can also tint the tones using Clear.

7-9.16 SMOKY ROSE
7-9.26 INKY PINKY
8-10.16 FROZEN ROSE BLOND
8-10.26 STRAWBERRY BLOND
.16 and .26 are both cool tones with the main tone reflected with red pigment. These colors can be used to create gorgeous, muted metallic tones with varied cool and warm nuances.

7-9.13 SANDY
8-10.13 BEACH BLOND
7-9.77 NUTMEG
8-10.77 CARDAMOM
.13 is the most neutralizing tone in the Luxima BLOND tone range. Of all the toners, .13 also contains the least substances that counteract yellow undertones, as it doesn’t contain any iridescence.
.77 is a very even tobacco-based tone. It is the perfect tone for evening out colors in any mixture. If the hair is extremely porous and you are using .77 add some warmth, e.g. by using tones .33 or .13, as .77 is so neutral that on a porous base the result is easily mattified without added warmth.

7-9.32 CHAI LATTE 7-9.75 MACADAMIA
8-10.32 CREAM BLOND 8-10.75 NUDE BLOND
.32 and .75 are the softest of all the blond tones. They beautifully even out an uneven base and are fantastic when mixed with cooler colors or used as they are if the customer doesn’t want a result that is too cool or too warm. These tones can be used for perfect nude beige results.

7-9.14 CARAMELL KISS
7-9.74 TOASTED HONEY
7-9.33 AMBER
8-10.14 APRICOT BLOND
8-10.74 HONEY BUNNY
8-10.33 BISCUIT
Luxima’s warmest tones, .14, .74 and .33 are gorgeous, multi-tone, translucent and soft blonds that you can use to create perfect warm blonds without excess redness in the hair. The warm BLOND tones also counteract yellow undertones, so the yellowness of the lightened base will not show through even though the tone is warm.

You can also mix the tones with cool tones to create unique, cool and warm mixes for your customer.
